To say that I am a former game developer and designer would be slightly inaccurate. I just don't own or operate a video game development studio any longer. That said, I grew up with games. From boardgame nights with my family, Nintendo game systems growing up, and eventually PC and multiplayer games as I got older, games have been a part of the majority of my life.

My interest in computers and game design really started budding in the late 90's which eventually led me to a professional career and business designing and building games.

Today, I still design games in my spare time. I have a few board game projects that I have been working on, and I even tinker with some of the latest game development tools like the Unreal Engine to keep my design skills sharp.

Although I've moved on from a professional career in video games, I continue to support them in other ways including game testing, developer support, Twitch streaming, and writing reviews.

Let's face it. I'm a busy kinda guy. I'm always tinkering or doing some kind of something. That said, I do more than just build and play games. Here are a few of my projects that I thought I'd share with you.

Founded in 2018, The Bullying Pull-up Challenge is a social impact movement project that I started to help spread the awareness of bullying. The challenge is simple. Do pull-ups for 30 days consecutively and use the hashtag #bullyingpullupchallenge. Yep, at the end of the challenge you'll have completed a total of 465 pull-ups for a good cause.

This is a game of chance and strategy that I'm tinkering with. It tends to be a hit at dinner parties and it's super quick to pick up. I'm currently prototyping different game variations and might look at publishing the game in the future.

Go Commando is a game that I have been working on for years. The game originally started out as a video game pitch project until it evolved into a board game. Basically, it's kind of a cooperative deck building game. It's gone through multiple iterations and has been tested over a few hundred hours. It still needs work. This is another game design hopeful project that I have going on.

Metal Gods is a 15mm miniatures sci-fi themed real-time strategy tabletop war game.

The universe of Metal Gods centers around Augers (augmented mecha machines) piloted by the last remnants of the human race who’ve traveled across the galaxy in hopes of salvaging our species as pioneers by colonizing Alpha Centauri Proxima B only to find our very existence imploding in the same rut of war, destruction, and thirst for power that brought us here in the first place.

Build your machine, claim the battlefield, protect your people, and defend your right to survive on the only livable planet within reach of our own existence.
